So you are working on becoming an Assistant Canyoning Team Leader, (ACTL). What is your role on your team? You have gained some experience and knowledge but you want to learn how to lead. Your biggest role will be going first on rappel, first-person at risk (FPAR), and helping your anchor manager/leader with managing the rappel line, any hazards on rappel or at the bottom of the rappel, keeping team members safe at the bottom of the rappel and helping the last person at risk (LPAR) to make sure the rope is retrievable.
